      The role of the Account Manager is to run the business end of PR. This person is responsible for representing our client, managing interactions, clearly communicating client needs to the team, and ensuring client deliverables are met. This role is for someone who has an interest in PR business management and development.

      This PR agency is structured differently to other agencies in that they have a Content Team who are responsible for creating content (releases, articles, photography, film) and a Relationship Team who are responsible for speaking to the press, coordinating sell-ins and maintaining good relationships. Experience in public relations is critical, as you will be expected to produce the strategic direction of the accounts you work on in collaboration with the Account Director, and be able to manage and maintain that direction.

      This is a remote working role. The key benefit is the flexibility they offer as a business; one that requires a responsible individual who is mature and capable of managing their own time.

      Responsibilities
      Primary

      -          Build and maintain relationships with clients through counsel, creative problem solving, and idea generation,

      -          Day-to-day client contact and main responder to client,

      -          Monitor day-to-day deliverables of the team to ensure they are met to the agreed timings,

      -          Responsible for vetting agency documents before sending to the client, to ensure activity is on strategy, meets the brief and deliverables, and highlighting any over service to the Account Director,

      -          Have a thorough understanding of your client’s industry, their objectives and KPIs, and constantly communicate to the team any adjustments or misalignments,

      -          Constantly monitoring the market, in the client’s respective fields, for moments of opportunity for proactive outreach.

      -          Escalate challenges or opportunities to the Account Director,

      -          Review client strategic documents and assist the Account Director in producing strategic plans, along with managing any further requests for information,

      -          Assist the Account Director with researching and setting the strategy for the client account, along with creating presentations and draft budgets for Account Director review.

      -          Owner and manager of client press monitoring tools to ensure they are tracking the correct metrics, and providing accurate insights to assist the team in meeting the client objectives,

      -          Owner and manager of team workflow boards on Monday.com from start to finish. This includes loading boards with account deliverables; ensuring they are up-to-date and alerting any relevant team members to update their relevant sections; and archiving where appropriate.

      -          Constantly monitor the press placement to ensure client ROI’s are met, and alert the team where and when requirements are not being met,

      -          Monthly reporting to clients on both the account deliverables (whether monthly, quarterly, yearly), agency time management (via time management tools), as well as press monitoring reports.

      -          Keep abreast of industry news both from a PR innovation perspective but also within the industry your clients businesses operate.

      Secondary

      -          You will contribute to content ideation, planning and execution as and when the team needs presents themselves.

      -          You will contribute to press targeting, and where necessary press relations that may be required from time to time.

      -          You will undertake deskside and commissioned research and development, that may be required from time to time.

      -          You will support the company in the marketing of the business which may be required from time to time,


      Skills & Experience Required

      -          A degree in communication, or other relevant experience.

      -          Five years+ experience in a PR agency.

      -          Two years+ management experience.

      -          Show good judgement and know when to escalate day-to-day issues to the Account Director.

      -          Ability to manage your own workflow effectively.

      -          Manage and maintain excellent relationships with clients.

      -          Excellent knowledge of and proven track record working with Google Suite, time management and reporting applications such as Clockify, media reporting software such as Meltwater and workflow tools such as Monday.com
