      Digital Media Sales Manager

      Be Different is leading this recruitment process to help our client find a driven, dynamic, and entrepreneurial media sales manager. This is a new division for the business, so tenacity and motivation to establish it will be key.

      This is an incredible opportunity to grow a division, but candidates should note the role will initially be very hands-on. The aim is to expand this part of the business further with additional sales resources.

      Unfortunately, candidates with experience solely in the print sector cannot be considered. Experience in digital and broadcasting/linear media is essential.

      Job purpose

      To drive revenue growth by successfully selling linear and digital media advertising solutions to clients across various industries. The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, understand marketing objectives, and create tailored advertising campaigns that deliver measurable results.

      Key responsibilities

      Client acquisition and management

      • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the advertising market.
      • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and marketing goals.
      • Negotiate and close advertising deals within target revenue margins.
      • Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales cycle.
      • Maximise revenue share across all company platforms.
      • Develop market information, research, and analytics to enhance the company’s digital media sales offering.

      Media planning and execution

      • Collaborate with the media planning team to create effective advertising strategies aligned with client objectives.
      • Negotiate advertising rates and placements with media partners (linear and digital).
      • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular updates to clients.

      Sales presentations and proposals

      • Develop persuasive sales presentations and proposals that showcase the value of the company’s media platforms.
      • Deliver presentations that effectively communicate the benefits of advertising solutions.

      Market research and analysis

      • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging advertising technologies.
      • Conduct market research to identify potential client segments and opportunities.

      Team collaboration

      • Work closely with the sales team, media planning team, and other departments to ensure seamless campaign execution.
      • Share best practices and insights within the team to drive continuous improvement.

      Required skills and qualifications

      • Proven experience in managing a digital sales team.
      • Demonstrated track record in broadcast and digital advertising sales with a strong understanding of the media landscape.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
      • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
      • Proficiency in using CRM and sales enablement tools.
      • Deep understanding of linear and digital advertising metrics and analytics.
      • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.

      Desired skills and experience

      • Experience selling both linear and digital media advertising solutions.
      • Knowledge of programmatic advertising and ad tech platforms.
      • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
