System Administrator

Our client, a leading player in the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly competent and motivated professional to join their dynamic IT infrastructure team on a 2 -4-year contract.
Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and manage automation scripts using PowerShell.
• Configure and manage Clusters, Web Hosting, Load Balancers, and implement effective Monitoring tools.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and system diagnostics to resolve issues proactively.
• Oversee and manage server backups to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
• Act as the SQL Server Administrator, ensuring database performance, security, and maintenance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in system administration, preferably within the oil and gas or industrial sector.
• Certification in Windows Server technologies (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent).
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
• PowerShell scripting
• Windows Server sub-specialties:
• Cluster management
• Web hosting services
• Load balancing
• Monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Solid experience with server backup strategies and SQL administration.
