Data Architect

A group driven by efficiency in providing professional financial solutions and products, leveraging data and insights to support partners in their journey to success, is seeking a data architect to assist in data-driven decision-making and support the organisation's strategic goals.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, and data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in data management tools, such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and ETL tools.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and security across the organisation.
• Define and enforce data access controls and permissions.
• Design and implement efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the data ecosystem.
• Collaborate with data analysts and business intelligence teams to design and optimise data structures for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Monitor and optimise data architecture performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Create and maintain data visualisations, dashboards, and reports.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Two to three years’ experience with data governance, data security, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data processing, such as SQL, Python, or Java.
• Three to four years’ experience in designing and implementing big data and analytics platforms like Hadoop and Apache Spark.

The reference number for this position is NG57966. This is a permanent position in Johannesburg offering a salary of R700,000 to R900,000 CTC, negotiable based on experience.
