In 2010, Martin Goodman joined Rentshield as one of four directors, after a successful two decades in the property and tourism industries.
From 1992 to 1995, he was an Estate Agent for Pam Golding Properties, during which time he successfully sold properties along the Atlantic Seaboard.
In 1996, Martin joined Amatola Tours as the Managing Director. Here he took care of all the business start-up procedures, the marketing strategy both locally and internationally, as well as managing all the sales and operational staff, and itinerary development.
While at Amatola Tours, Martin was instrumental in the role-out of new tourism markets from Scandinavia to the Eastern and Western Cape, and secured international tourism business which had a significant impact on the Eastern Cape economy.
In 2005, Martin was recruited as the Operations and Sales Director of start-up company Lifescapes Property Management and Sales. Within his first year at Lifescapes, five branches were fully operational and he had established a sales force of 55 agents and 10 admin staff.
He continued to grow the company until 2010, when he took on the new and exciting challenge of the position of Director at Rentshield.
Martin lives in Pinelands with his wife and three children. He describes his family as his passion - closely followed by open water swimming.
In his spare time, he enjoys any and all sport, including tennis, rugby, cricket and particularly swimming. He swims from Robben Island to the Cape mainland at least five times a year and is a board member of the Cape Long Distance Swimming Committee.
In both his personal and professional life, Martin lives by the philosophy of creating a world of integrity by being honest.
