Media conference addresses new wave
The 13th annual media conference organised by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) will take place on Friday, 23 September 2011. Entitled WTF Media Conference, its theme is 'It's a smarter world' and should provide great understanding of the new technological wave of applications.

In collaboration with the Design Development and Research Academic Conference taking place, this one day media conference will host professional keynote speakers in social media, online media and cloud computing. These will include Godfrey Parkin, Craig Ross, Julie Posetti, Max Kaizen, Melissa Attree, Mike Sharman, Matthew Visser, Sam Wilson, Tim Bishop, Tim Shier, Wesley Lynch, Richard Mulholland and Jonathan Donner.
Applications are still known to many of us as 'diamonds in the rough'. The conference will provide a platform for one to question, debate, speculate, be educated, be informed and also be exposed to all the possibilities regarding new media.
The conference intends to follow a TED style, following a suggestion from Matt Buckland of Creative Sparks. Delegates are advised to bring their Wi-Fi enabled laptops and cellphone to fully embrace the new technology.
