Build your personal brand, discover a new you
Pioneering local individual and employer branding company Leading Brands has partnered with the Tom Peters Company in the US to bring to South Africa a one-day “Brand You: Inspired Performance” workshop and experience. The workshop will be facilitated by Tom Peters Company (US) CEO and president Juli Ann Reynolds and leading South African brand authority Thebe Ikalafeng.
There is a paradigm shift in the workplace. To win the war for talent, connect employees emotionally to their organisations, share the same vision, enhance productivity and achieve their goals, leaders and organisations are now realising it is necessary to create environments where employees can fulfill their personal goals and purpose.
Long gone are the days of cradle to grave jobs or pursuing meaningless jobs, activities and opportunities. Gone is brand internalisation and ambassadorship – fire walking, rope skipping, white river rafting and the like – as we've come to know it.
“Personal Branding” is a new journey for individuals to discover their personal goals and purpose, unleash their potential, and build distinctive skills and abilities that bring value to and are aligned with the organisations for which they work or with which they are associated.
Tom Peters
The workshop is based on the successful Tom Peters Company “Brand You” experience inspired by Tom Peters' thought leadership in his seminal 1997 “The Brand Called You” article in Fast Company and bestseller, Brand You 50 and Ikalafeng's new book Personal Branding: 7 Steps to Build A Personal Brand Aligned with your World, Work and Passions.
The experience is designed for “everyone – from executives to professional and support staff – who wants to turn their job or profession into an inspired and profitable mission and passion.”
Delegates will gain the skills to assess and understand their personal brand as perceived by their various publics, discover what makes them distinct, design a personal brand promise that contribute to their team, organisation and customers, enhance their credibility and visibility for their brands, and align their brands to their world, work and passions.
Leading Brands has partnered with financial services brand Momentum Group and Exclusive Books to bring this intensive one-day workshop at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 23 April 2008, 8am – 6pm.
