Become a glass guardian: Hospitality industry urged to champion recycling

Only two single malts have ever been launched under the Three Ships label. The first single malt was launched in 2003 and the most recent one released in limited-edition collectors' tins over a three-year period - in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Very few people, if any, managed to obtain all four. Moreover, since one cannot purchase these editions anymore, no matter who you know or how much you are willing to pay, this collection must rank among the ultimate collectors' items!
During the festival, master distiller Andy Watts will be hosting workshops during which those attending will also be given a sneak preview of the much-anticipated Three Ships 10 Year Old single malt to be launched next year. He will also be demonstrating his vision for South African whiskies by means of some innovative cask finishes he has been working on at The James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington.
Those not able to attend the workshops can join more informal tastings of two World Whisky Awards' World's Best whiskies, the Three Ships Premium Select 5 Year Old (named World's Best Blended Whisky in 2012) and Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky (World's Best Grain Whisky in 2013) along with a very interesting blend Andy has been masterminding at the distillery. Bookings for these tasting can be done on the evening at the Three Ships or Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky stand.
