A taxing account for Ogilvy
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has emerged from the previous tax year smiling all the way to the bank - having collected R10-billion above its target of R345.3-billion. But the organisation knows better than to rest on its laurels.
In anticipation of the 2005 filing season, SARS has contracted the services of Ogilvy Johannesburg and Ogilvy PR.
Ogilvy JHB business director Manelisa Mavuso explains that the sister companies will be developing two campaigns for SARS - the first focusing on educating site tax payers, and the second focusing on the 2005 filing season, encouraging South Africans to submit their tax returns by the deadline - 8 July 2005.
Ogilvy JHB and Ogilvy PR will work together on the campaigns, off a centralised strategy, providing a 360 degree communications service for SARS.
