2D illustrator/designer - Piehole.TV

Piehole.TV creates animated explainer videos for clients across the globe, and we are looking for a 2D illustrator/designer with an interest or some experience in art direction. Training can be provided.

As art director, you will work closely with the creative director and writers to understand the vision for the projects and will be involved throughout the project lifecycle up to its release, ensuring all artwork is of a high quality.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for visual communication and execution excellence
• Work alongside writers to create story visuals to assist with pitching concepts to clients, and create mood and colour palettes from brief/script to direct the visual style of animation
• Work with designers to develop sketches and artwork to communicate the artistic vision
• Motivate the creative team to deliver work that is beyond exceptional
• Be flexible and a team player
• Experiment with new processes for directing visuals – gaining new skills and changing creative involvement

Requirements:

• Degree in design/animation/related field
• Training or experience creating storyboards, animatic sequences, graphic design, motion graphics, or animation
• Strong illustration and character design skills
• Conceptual thinking
• Ability to balance schedules in a demanding, multi-project, team environment
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite required
• Cinema 4D is a plus
• Experience leading creative teams is a plus
