Requirements

• Eight to ten years of development experience.
• Strong UI development skills (minimum of five years’ experience).
• Proficiency in Angular (version 12 or higher), Angular Material, Bootstrap, Node.js, and mono repo/shared libraries.

Experience in the following is advantageous:

• Microservices and micro frontends.
• Kubernetes and Openshift.
• UX design.
• Nexus, TeamCity, Maven, and Git (Git-flow).
• Java and Spring Boot.
• JPA and Docker.
• SQL skills, particularly with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Workflow tools like TIBCO AMX or Camunda.
• Rules engines such as Drools.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers, and senior staff.
• Develop program specifications and implement system enhancements to address business needs.
• Code, compile, test, and implement applications while adhering to the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, conduct peer reviews, and support development environments.
• Mitigate risks by adhering to IT governance and change/release management processes.
• Provide input to business requirements and effectively present solutions to clients.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or computer science.
• Minimum: BComm, BEng, BSc Eng, BSc Informatics, or a related degree.
• Ten or more years of programming experience.
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages suitable for departmental needs.
• System design experience is advantageous.

The reference number for this position is GZ59527, which is a contract position based in Sandton, offering a contract rate of R650 per hour, negotiable based on experience and ability.
