      • Policing and Law Enforcement

      Key Roles and Responsibilities:
      • Lecture and assess contact learning and distance learning students in the in BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) and BEd (Intermediate Phase Teaching) following modules:
                        o   History 1 (HIST301)

                        o   History 2 (HIST302)

                        o   History 3 (HIST400)

                        o   Social Sciences Geography (SSG302)

                        o   Social Sciences History (SSH402)

                        o   Teaching Social Sciences (TSS102)
      • Perform the role and responsibilities of the module coordinator (MC).
      • Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
      • Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
      • Participate in relevant programme, curriculum and material development.
      • Carry out allocated internal moderation responsibilities.
      • Carry out invigilation of venue-based assessments as reasonably required by the Registrar’s Office.
      • Participate in school-based Teaching Practice assessments.
      • Provide academic support to students.
      • Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
      • Participate in research and community engagement projects.
      • Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
      • Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
      • Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
      • Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management.
      • Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.

      Qualifications and Experience | Minimum Requirements:
      • Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours or equivalent qualification with relevant study in History and Geography, Social Sciences/ Studies.
      • At least 3 years teaching and/or lecturing experience in the relevant phases and disciplines.
      • Experience in curriculum and materials development.
      • Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments.

      • Sound teaching and assessment skills.
      • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
      • High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Ability to cope with change.
      • Willingness to work when required on Saturdays.
