My client, a well-established company in the hospitality industry, is looking for a point-of-sale counter salesperson to start immediately.

Job Summary:The Point of Sales Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter by providing product information, processing transactions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a customer-oriented individual with strong product knowledge and an ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, providing product recommendations and support.
• Process sales transactions, including handling cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Manage inventory levels at the counter and restock shelves as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organised counter area to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Handle customer inquiries, provide solutions, and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet store sales goals.
• Track customer orders and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Operate the POS system, including price scanning, returns, and exchanges.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1-2 years of counter sales, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with Point of Sales (POS) systems, strong communication and customer service skills.
• Attributes: Friendly, customer-focused, with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move products as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and balancing cash drawers.
