Who are we looking for: An experienced project engineer

What will you do: 

The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. Essential Functions: Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.

Functions include: 

• Generating proposals and reports
• Liaison with the different internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of project plans
• Complete technical surveys
• Managing and facilitating various projects
• Monitoring projects budgets, schedules, plans, and reporting on the project's status.
• Understanding of applicable procedures, policies, standards, and best practices in line with the company’s QMS system
• Compilation of technical reports / proposals
• Performing process capability studies
• Conduct time / work studies
• Facility layout and design
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
• Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.
• Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
• Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.

What do you need: 

• Senior certificate – Matric with maths (not maths lit)
• Diploma / degree in project engineering / project management / industrial engineering
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Reliable transport
• Reliable, highly motivated, and confident attitude
• To be able to perform well under pressure, must possess a high stress tolerance
• Well organised
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Must have excellent time management skills
