Laptop Repair Technician

We have a vacancy for a skilled Laptop Repair Technician with a positive and confident attitude. The incumbent should have good knowledge about laptops hardware and specifications. The successful candidate will work under the Laptop Department Team Leader.
Key performance areas
Operations
Refurbishment (Sales Orders)
- Ensure Sales Orders are prepared accurately and on time.
- Accurately trace faults on equipment to identify faulty components.
- Ensure that all laptops are always assembled to the highest quality.
- Maintain the high refurbishment standard set out by the companies QMS guidelines.
- Assemble a minimum of 10 laptops per day.
- Complete 1 vinyl cover per day.
- Accurately identify faults to ensure repairs are done according to given specifications and QMS.
- Ensure work area, station and/or desk is tidy, clean and neat always.
Reports
- Weekly reports submissions for qualitative metrics to team leader.
Communication
Internal communication
- Keep Line Manager informed of all challenges in the department.
Experience:
- Three years’ proven experience as an IT Repair Technician
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Diploma in IT (A+)
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook)
