Social media community manager plays a crucial role in managing a brand's online presence and engaging with its audience. Core responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

1. Community engagement and interaction

• Actively monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
• Foster a positive online community by engaging with followers and addressing their concerns or inquiries.
• Encourage discussions and interactions to boost engagement.
• Build relationships with influencers, customers, and brand advocates.

2. Content management and collaboration

• Collaborate with the content team to create engaging and relevant posts, stories, and updates.
• Schedule and publish content using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).
• Ensure content aligns with the brand's voice, values, and overall marketing strategy.
• Create or source user-generated content (UGC) to boost authenticity.

3. Social listening and reputation management

• Monitor brand mentions and industry trends using social listening tools.
• Address negative feedback and escalate critical issues to the relevant departments.
• Provide insights and feedback to the marketing team based on community sentiment.

4. Analytics and reporting

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rates, follower growth, and reach.
• Analyse social media insights and provide reports with actionable recommendations.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry benchmarks.

5. Campaign support and execution

• Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns, contests, and promotions.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align campaigns with business goals.
• Ensure consistent messaging across all digital platforms.

6. Crisis management

• Identify potential PR crises and respond promptly with appropriate messaging.
• Implement strategies to minimise negative impacts on the brand’s reputation.

7. Trend analysis and strategy development

• Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
• Suggest innovative ways to improve the brand's social media presence and engagement.
• Work with the team to develop and refine social media strategies.

8. Collaboration with internal teams

• Work closely with content creators, designers, and the marketing team to ensure cohesive branding.
• Provide community insights that can influence future content and product development.

Skills

• + 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient and knowledgeable on all social media platforms, best practice and applications
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Basic knowledge of Hootsuite, SEO, Google Suites would be an advantage
• Excellet time management
