Digital Publications is currently looking for a junior graphic designer to join our company on a 6-month contract to produce designed content for our print customers. 

Your duties will include any of the following dependent on experience:

• To create print magazine layouts for a number of our existing customers.
• To create digital magazine layouts for a number of our existing customers.
• To design social media posts for our customers based on their go-to-market strategy.

We are interested in candidates with the following skills:

Job skills

• One to two years of industry experience
• Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign CC
• Tertiary qualification in graphic design
• Experience in layout/publication design either from an agency or publisher
• Be a motivated, considerate, even-tempered and positive team player
• Practice high attention to detail

Personality skills

• Emotional maturity - critical skill
• Ability to get on well with others - critical skill
• Have a great attitude - critical skill
• Apply excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have a can-do approach to all work
• Have pride in good design and high-quality work

The position is a combination of in-office (Rosebank, Johannesburg) and remote working. 

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team as well as on their own handling customer projects from concept through to layout, design and publishing.
