Using DTP software to produce a layout of the job both digital and hard copy and prepare proofs for approval.
Working to a design brief from the client to make amendments to artwork when necessary.
Fix formatting of jobs, such as the size and style of type, column width, spacing, checking of colours, etc. to match in-house printing specifications.
Be able to prioritise a varied workload and work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Have a clear understanding of print industry.
Load artwork into relevant folders and follow current filing system.
Determine layout and other instructions to identify the work to be done.
Check final copy to make sure all is correct to print.
Save artwork under code number where applicable.
Only final artwork to be kept on the computer system, all previous artwork not in use or changes to be deleted.
Check on proofing timelines.
Systems to be backed up every Friday.
