      Junior Medical Device Sales Executive

      Zebra Medical is looking for a junior sales executive for the Western Cape territory. The position will entail the marketing and sales of all Zebra Medical’s products, which are primarily focused on oncology, vascular access and ultrasound together with other surgical devices.

      The position is available for immediate start.

      We are looking for someone who wants to enter the medical device industry and has a passion for patient care and customer service. Any experience with ICUs, oncology units, radiology units and such would be a very strong additional bonus. A medical background or training (for example, in the form of nursing, microbiology, biomedical or similar) is strongly advised due to the technical nature of the product range. Training will be provided, but some knowledge of the medical industry (either devices or pharma) is preferred.

      Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the surgical, oncology, ICU and/or theatre nurse fields. In exceptional cases, where the candidate can demonstrate a strong propensity for sales/other sales experience, and ticks these boxes with examples in their personal or work lives would be considered:
      • Is determined to succeed, and shows tenacity and grit
      • Is able to problem-solve on the spot and find solutions
      • Does not back down and can reframe an objection into an opportunity
      • Is willing to walk the extra mile; no task is too big or too small
      The remuneration package on offer is market-related (depending on experience) with an uncapped commission structure.

      Key responsibilities:
      • Promote and sell the product range to customers (private hospital groups, government hospitals and private practice
      • Build on the above customer relationships to sell more product
      • Develop and establish new relationships and demand lead generation
      • Recommend products and surgical methodologies to HCPs
      • Perform in-service training with HCPs (face-to-face and virtual)
      • Attend theatre cases where necessary
      • Remain up to date with the latest literature pertaining to the product range
      • Attend all relevant trade shows/congresses where necessary
      • Manage consignment stock at assigned customers
      • Adherence to the CRM system on a daily basis
      Minimum requirements:
      • A strong medical background/training/qualification(s)
      • Valid driver’s licence and own car
      • Fully computer literate with regards to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
      • Comfortable using social media for brand-building purposes
      • Comfortable using digital/virtual marketing channels
      • Prepared to work after-hours

      • Ability to understand and address customers’ pain points
      • Ability to think on the fly under pressure
      • Oral and written communication skills
      • Tenacity and staying power to get any job done!
