The search is on for a mid-level to senior software project manager with five-plus years of experience in IT project management. Our project managers are responsible for the full life cycle of software and web projects; from planning, scheduling, budgeting and execution to the maintenance and support. This role will suit a PM with agency/provider experience who enjoys juggling multiple projects and clients while working with different internal resources. A multi-tasker who enjoys variety in their day, continuous learning and wants to offer their clients the latest solutions, will fit our way of working.


Pure Solutions is an established online development company with a variety of large corporate clients. We work in a professional and comfortable environment where the focus is on teamwork, collaboration, and the ability to achieve results. While we are based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, we are fully remote for the foreseeable future. Candidates must be team players who are happy working at home and connecting with their colleagues and clients online. Preference will be given to Cape Town-based candidates as the company acknowledges the need for face-to-face time, and therefore meets for regular team socials.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and resources
• Create and deliver accurate and engaging presentations to clients
• Work closely with resources to ensure that client’s expectations are met and projects are delivered timeously
• Identify and communicate project risks throughout project lifecycles
• Create and maintain project documentation
• Liaise with testers and developers throughout the test cycle to ensure the quality of projects delivered
• Ensure projects are delivered on budget
• Create opportunities for future projects or enhancements

Requirements

• Practical IT project management skills essential
• Five-plus years’ experience in an IT project manager role (software, not hardware)
• Understanding of the principles of the software development lifecycle
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Dev Ops
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience in handling large data sets
• Good writing and communication skills
• Technical background and exposure to .NET and web development projects
• Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology
• Exposure to cloud technologies
• Comfortable using AI tools
• Confident and professional
• Effective, highly organised and detail orientated
