The Clarion Group is a long-established digital printing company based in Cape Town, Faster Displays is a patented European POS and POP product, used extensively by the retail and FMCG sectors. We are looking to place a candidate in the role of senior head of the Faster Display division.

Responsibilities:

• To be a key driver of all aspects of the division internally
• Working to expand the team's technical skills
• Continual research and development within the product range
• Liaising and harnessing the relationship with Faster Displays globally and with other licensees to expand the range and skill set of the team
• Development and growth of the team within the division through upskilling and mentoring
• Assist in the planning of growing the division and the Faster Display brand
• Work closely with the sales and marketing team on new innovations, ideas and creative solutions to take to market and existing clients

Qualifications/experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design is preferable, but not a pre-requisite
• CAD experience or similar design packages
• POS and POP cardboard engineering design and conversion skills, with at least five years’ experience

• Individual who can manage an overall division holistically across all areas
• Project Management minded individual who can manage multiple jobs simultaneously from start to finish, at various stages throughout the production process and plan accordingly
• Familiarity with various packaging materials
• Knowledge of the FMCG market is preferable
• Highly driven and motivated 
• Positive can-do attitude who works well with others
• Creative thinker
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced print production environment
• Maintains a calm, cool but driven approach with a level head
• Understand that this is a production environment and due to the nature of the work, there will be occasions when overtime is required
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Cost to company: Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills and overall fit for the position
