Ockham Communications specialises in reputation management, crisis communications and public affairs. We are looking for a persuasive communicator, analytical thinker and excellent writer to join Ockham Communications as an Account Executive.

The successful candidate will need to understand public policy, the legislative process and the political landscape. They must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, juggling various tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities:

• Writing: Producing first drafts of various pieces of content including press statements, opinion pieces, speeches and social media posts.
• Client management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their communication needs and objectives.
• Campaign development: Working closely with clients and internal teams to help develop strategic communication plans and campaigns that align with client goals.
• Media relations: Proactively pitching stories to media outlets, securing coverage, and managing media relationships to enhance client visibility.
• Reporting and analysis: Monitoring and analysing campaign performance, providing clients with regular updates and insights.
• Business development: Assisting with lead development and new client pitches.

Qualifications:

• At least a bachelor's degree in the social sciences, humanities, law or similar. Postgraduate degree preferred.
• Ideally two to four years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple projects, and stick to deadlines.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
