Bizcommunity is proud to announce that from a huge response of global submissions to the awards, Biz Editor-in-Chief Marketing & Media, Leigh Andrews has been shortlisted as a finalist.
According to the official WIM press release, shortlisted entries this year reflected ground-breaking work being carried out in meeting the demands of the evolving nature of the global marketing and media landscapes.
The new categories introduced this year include Branded Entertainment, WIM Journalist of the Year and Axim CX Inspirational Leader in the Field of Customer Experience awards.
Andrews was shortlisted in the category WIM Journalist of the Year Award: The winner of the The WIM Journalist of the Year Award will be given to a female or male journalist, who has covered the marketing industry with intelligence, thoroughness and excellence. They could have exposed important news stories, or helped the industry understand key issues and personalities. Particular consideration will be given to journalists who have addressed issues of gender discrimination or any other kind of discrimination and challenges that women or minority groups may face, or who have championed the successes of women through their journalism.
Her prolific mix of breaking news stories as well as interviews and industry event coverage which daily provide a valuable snapshot and awareness for the women making a difference in marketing and media in our region, ensures Andrews is a worthy candidate for entry into the WIM Journalist of the Year Award category.
Winners will be announced on 16 November 2017 at the Ham Yard Hotel, London.
