Since the inception of the awards in 2014, four of Scan Display’s female team members have been acknowledged with this accolade – more than for any other company.”
In 2014, Martina Komane was the first Scan Display employee to be acknowledged. Martina joined the company as a data capture intern 12 years ago and has taken on a number of different roles over the last decade, displaying great leadership skills. She was appointed Scan Display’s Production Director in 2014 and oversees the company’s manufacturing and warehousing facility in Newtown.
In 2015, Scan Display’s Logistics Manager, Pumza Mcube, was included on the list. Pumza joined the company as an intern 11 years ago and has worked her way through various roles and departments into her current managerial role. As the company’s Logistics Manager, Pumza has a demanding job, liaising with drivers and staff about deliveries and collections around the clock.
This year Scan Display had two staff members on the list: Infrastructure Services Manager, Naume Moakamedi, and Marketing Manager, Zoe Broad.
Naume has been with the company since 2004 and has provided invaluable support to the team. She is a conscientious staff member and innovative problem-solver which is ideal for her current role, where she manages Scan Display’s large exhibition services projects.
Zoe joined Scan Display in 2014 and has expanded the company’s marketing function since joining. Zoe is an active member of the MICE industry, sitting on the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry’s (SAACI) Northern Territories Branch committee. She is passionate about greening and through her involvement in the Event Greening Forum she plays an important role in promoting sustainability to members of the events industry.
Justin Hawes, Managing Director of Scan Display, is proud of his team’s achievements: “It has been amazing to see the personal growth and development of these women during their time at Scan Display. They are deserving recipients of this acknowledgement.”
