An IT solutions company dedicated to transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions is looking for a talented data engineer to join its dynamic team and play a pivotal role in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to optimise data processes.
Responsibilities:- Data analysis: Analyse and interpret complex datasets using statistical methods to uncover valuable insights and trends.
- Data mining: Utilise machine learning techniques to discover patterns in large datasets, enhancing data-driven strategies.
- Data visualisation: Create impactful visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
- Data cleaning: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data by cleaning and preprocessing datasets.
- Data modelling: Build and test predictive models to forecast future trends and outcomes, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports and presentations that summarise findings and actionable recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data science team members and other departments to identify business problems and collaboratively develop innovative solutions.
- Programming: Write scripts and code in SQL to automate data analysis processes and streamline workflows.
Qualifications and experience:- National diploma in information technology or bachelor's degree
- Proven experience as a data engineer, with a focus on Azure and Fabric (three-plus years)
- Relevant certifications in Azure and data engineering
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, data mining, and statistical methods
- Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques
- Solid understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing methodologies
- Familiarity with predictive modelling and forecasting techniques
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with automating data workflows
