Sales Representative - Code 10 and PDP License

Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Code 10 Driver to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various destinations in a safe and timely manner. The Code 10 Driver should demonstrate excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Reports to: Logistics manager

Key responsibilities:
Driving:

• Operate and drive company vehicles, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
• Safely transport goods and materials to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.

Delivery and collection:

• Ensure the accurate and timely delivery or collection of goods as per schedule.
• Handle loading and unloading of materials with care to prevent damage.

Customer service:

• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries or pickups.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour at all times. Vehicle Maintenance:
• Report any mechanical issues or defects promptly
• Regularly inspect and maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle

Documentation:

• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and submit on time.
• Keep records of trips, including fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance activities.

Safety compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while driving and handling materials.
• Participate in safety training programs as required.

Qualifications and skills:

• Valid Code 10 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a Code 10 Driver.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, routes, and regulations.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physical fitness for loading and unloading tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reside near or around Durban North

Additional requirements:

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation apps.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
