About the role

Our client is currently seeking a senior software developer specialising in Node.js for their offices nationally. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud solutions, with a focus on back-end Node.js development using modern frameworks and technologies.

Requirements

• A relevant degree or diploma (honours or postgraduate preferred) or comparable practical experience.
• A minimum of eight or more years' experience building custom web-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Git source control.
• Proficiency in Node.js and Nest.js.
• Experience with Agile and test-driven development.
• Experience in building search systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of SQL and writing high-performance queries.
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Bash.
• Expertise in web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Key responsibilities

• Technical architectural design.
• Develop and document design, source code, and technical architecture.
• Maintain and manage existing source code.
• Design, develop, and implement solutions to users’ needs and requirements.
• Review and improve code.
• Run tests and fix bugs.
• Coordinate with architects and business analysts to determine functionalities.
• Develop technical solutions to complex business problems.
• Design and develop technical solutions for enterprise-level projects.
• Design and develop data analysis solutions.
