Facilities Manager

Reports to: Technical manager

Qualifications and skills

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
  • Grade 12.
  • Diploma in facilities/maintenance management.
  • Trade test.
  • 3 – 5 years proven experience as facilities/maintenance manager.
  • 5 years practical experience in industrial, facilities management maintenance.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good customer care skills and good communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business professional publications, technical procedures, manuals or statutory regulations.
  • Literate – must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Must be willing to work shifts.
  • Adaptability to different working areas and conditions.
  • Must have own accommodation and transport
Responsibilities

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure that attendance is recorded on the ERS system daily.
  • Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
  • Ensure that Operational areas and systems are operating and ready for service, on time.
  • Check quality of hygiene standards on site.
  • Ensure Accuracy of orders received and data from stock.
  • Comply with health and safety standards.
  • Ensure that all HR Processes are managed.
  • Ensure effective and detailed communications are done on a daily basis, for the purpose of scheduled & unscheduled maintenance, unforeseen challenges and breakdowns.
  • Conduct daily checks and inspections on relieving/standing in for the technical team as scheduled to do so. All inspections have been recorded and required comments have been communicated.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required by the Company.
