A medium-sized group is looking for an experienced General Manager to lead one of its divisions, joining a team of five distinct brands as part of the Executive Committee (EXCO). In this role, you’ll oversee the entity's entire operation with a focus on people management, operations, finance and budgeting, sales and contracts, technology, profitability, and market share growth. Your mandate will also include expanding the brand’s presence across the Southern Africa region (SADC).
Key responsibilities
Manage the division’s overall operations, ensuring alignment with the group's goals
Drive growth in market share and profitability
Develop and maintain budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met
Lead sales strategies and manage contracts to boost business outcomes
Oversee technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency
Cultivate and manage strong teams, focusing on people development
Requirements
Minimum grade 12 qualification, with a formal three-year qualification; postgraduate qualification preferred
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Proven experience in a general manager role with a strong track record of performance
Ability to operate at an EXCO level
Industry experience is flexible, with a primary focus on demonstrated results as a GM
