IT Technician - George, Western Cape

Our client in George is seeking a skilled IT Technician to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain network systems, and ensure smooth and secure daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to users, resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networking equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and effective manner.
• Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and ensure connectivity for end-users.
• Implement and maintain data security protocols, including antivirus and firewall updates.
• Maintain records of IT assets, update technical documentation, and log resolved issues.
• Provide guidance and training to end-users on system functionality, security, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• A+ Certification, Network+, or other IT certifications (preferred).
• Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
