Registered - Frail Care

Our client is seeking Registered Nurse for frail care residents in the Strand area. Reporting to the Health Care Manager.

Duties include the following, but not limited to

• Assess and develop nursing care plan for each resident
• Evaluate and review effects of care plan on patient health status
• Daily involvement with all aspects of care
• Report any change in health status to Nursing Manager and/or Doctor
• Implement medication and other therapy as per Doctor’s prescription
• Order, stock, check and record medication received and administered
• Maintain communication with resident’s family regarding any changes
• Provide regular in-service education programmes for staff
• General environment hygiene to be maintained
• Implement infection controls
• Undertake any other duties as delegated by the Nursing Manager

 

Requirements:

• A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/B Cur Degree)
• Registration with SANC
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with the elderly
• Excellent English and Afrikaans communication skills
• Committed to clinical excellence
• Able and willing to learn new procedures and technique
• Effective patient care
• Hours of work will be 12 hours per shift

Salary: R24 500 CTC
