One of the leading companies that deal with solar-powered electricity and smartphones at an affordable price to households across Malawi, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia and Madagascar are currently in search for an intermediate developer to join their fast-growing team

They operate through a network of agents and merchants to meet the challenges of last-mile distribution with technology, through our in-house developed platforms.

What you need to be part of the team:

• 4-8 years of experience
• CompSci or CompEng degree from UCT / Stel / Wits / UP
• Experience at top end employer / consultancy
• 4 or more years of software engineering experience with commercially successful systems in fintech, payments, banking, messaging, credit, e-commerce or logistics
• Experience using Terraform
• Python, Java, Javascript or Typescript
• Academic powerhouse: proxy for high performing, driven individual
• If excellence can be demonstrated in their short career, that is of course a plus
• Generalist (especially Junior roles): though they have technical skills, they want to solve problems across operations, commercial and technical business areas
• Recent experience in architecture and technical leadership of projects within these industries
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, to identify and troubleshoot system and integration challenges.
• Experience with AWS: Basic networking, Serverless or containerised applications

Reference Number for this position is GZ59888 which is a permanent Hybrid position based in Cape Town offering a cost to company salary of R530k per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
