Who we are looking for: An experienced, mid-weight social media sccount executive. The position will report to the Social Media Department Manager and cover all aspects of social media marketing and campaign execution. You’ll need at least three years of experience in digital marketing and social media and a strong understanding of applicable software and social media platforms.

What you will do:

Talent committee support and research:
  • Conduct in-depth research to support campaigns
  • Ensure accuracy in research and the vetting process
  • Meet casting criteria accurately and deliver high-quality talent recommendations
Social media strategy and execution:
  • Manage all social media facets, including scheduling, posting, monitoring and reporting
  • Conduct research to stay updated with trends and emerging strategies
  • Ensure accounts remain active through daily posts and community engagement
  • Submit social media performance reports quarterly
  • Propose new social media strategies and creative engagement tactics
Campaign reports and performance tracking:
  • Support brand campaign reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of campaign reports
Community management and content support:
  • Monitor social media communities for engagement and potential issues
  • Ensure all social media posts comply with brand guidelines and industry regulations
  • Track and oversee creative deliverables
  • Assist in content creation and asset management
  • Maintain content posting schedules and ensure timely execution
General social media and influencer marketing support:
  • Define and track KPIs specific to social media performance
  • Collaborate with designers or copywriters to create engaging campaigns
  • Use social media marketing tools to optimise campaign performance
  • Conduct market research, insights gathering and analytics for data-driven decision-making
  • Maintain relationships with industry professionals and influencers
  • Manage influencer and creator scheduling and campaign execution
  • Take full responsibility for campaign management, including briefing, supervising, monitoring progress, schedules and cost-tracking
What you must have:
  • Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least 36 months of experience in social media management
  • Proven expertise in social media and online engagement tools
  • Passion for social media, community building and audience interaction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Pan-African pop culture trends (advantageous)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Interest in global social media trends and best practices.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
