Responsible for conceptualizing and executing e?ective, innovative, and compelling advertising work that will be

noticed both by the target group, appreciated by clients, and applauded by the advertising industry.

Duties

 

Creative Excellence

• To act as directed by the CD/ECD/CCO as per the creative brief• Generate e?ective, innovative, and compelling creative concepts for individual ads or campaigns based on sound strategies.

 

• Direct and produce e?ective, impactful, and compelling advertising that reflects insight into the task, the brand

and the target market.

 

• Craft and finish to the highest possible standard all artwork relating to a specific job or campaign.

 

• Proactively identify creative trends and opportunities.

 

• Assist with selecting voices, sound e?ects, music, and music composers that fit the project and the budget.

 

• Direct radio and TV soundtracks toward a high-quality final product.

 

• Strive for excellence (relevant, current, ground-breaking).

 

• Present competently in reviews and to clients, articulating clearly the creative rationale for the work being presented.

 

• Develop a valuable relationship with internal teams.

 

• Create integrated “solutions” as opposed to “one-off” ads.

 

• Work with internal teams at reviews and client presentations.

 

• Clarify the exact purpose/deliverables of a brief before developing the work.

 

• Embrace a culture of ‘solutions not problems’ within the creative department.


Requirements


Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric
  • Relevant Diploma / Degree
  • Experience in Financial Services will advantageous
  • Technical skills include Design, Art Direction, Illustration, Rendering, Storyboarding, Retouching, and photo manipulation, understanding of web/online media, Photo Shoot direction, understanding of music, vocals and
  • the TV Production process
  • A portfolio that reflects creative conceptual proficiencies.
  • Flair for art direction/design, broad, intrusive, creative, and original work
  • Ability to deliver creative work of distinction
  • Capability to take on campaigns with multi-element tasks that require a concept and a thought-through process
  • Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Video Editing, Flash, etc
  • Has achieved merit-worthy excellence by winning awards in their field of expertise
