Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis activities across various squads and value chains.
• Liaise with stakeholders to elicit and understand data requirements, translating them into technical tasks.
• Analyse data flows, profile data, troubleshoot issues, and document findings for downstream processes.
• Conduct data testing and validation, including error resolution, data quality checks, and lifecycle validation.
• Recommend and implement data provisioning enhancements, including cleansing, transformation, and validation.
• Define data standards, identify data quality issues, and drive cleansing initiatives.
• Optimize self-service offerings and improve the user experience for accessing data.
• Deliver data analysis outputs according to project plans and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance policies.
• Mentor junior analysts, manage team activities, and perform quality reviews.

Qualifications and experience:

• Advanced diploma or national first degree
• BSc or BEng in a related field
• Certifications in Data Analysis, Data Modelling, Cloud (Azure/AWS), DevOps
• Data Warehousing and Profiling
• Data Visualization Tools
• ETL Tools (e.g., Ab Initio, ADB, ADF, SAS, ETL)
• Databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL, IBM DB2, HBase, MongoDB)
• Programming (e.g., Python, R)
• Cloud Data Engineering (Azure, AWS, Google)
