We are looking for a talented and experienced TTL copywriter to join our creative team. The ideal candidate has a strong conceptual ability, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work in high-volume environments with fast turnarounds.

Minimum experience, skills, and attributes required:

  • An eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Work closely with the art director to generate creative ideas and concepts that fulfil the client’s brief.
  • Produce scripts and concepts with visual aids and references to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the target audience and business the advert is aimed at.
  • Meet with the creative director and account managers before presenting ideas to clients.
  • Pitch ideas to clients, requiring strong presentation skills.
  • Work on location when needed.
  • Attend meetings at production houses and with other directors.
  • Collaborate with voice-over artists and assist with recording radio ads.
  • Oversee the final production in editing suites.
  • Guide and assist other creatives with their work.

Technical skills and knowledge:

  • TTL copywriting with a strong background in ATL.
  • Ability to carry out conceptual and writing skills from initial brief to final artwork.
  • Strong digital writing portfolio.
  • Excellent conceptual ability.
  • Great presentation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Committed, collaborative team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Figma is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with music searching and sourcing appropriate voice-over artists.

Experience:

  • At least three to five years’ experience as a TTL copywriter in an advertising agency.
  • Experience with ATL copywriting.
  • Experience in social media writing, including best practices and specifications.
  • Experience working in high-volume environments with fast turnarounds preferred.

Qualification:

  • A completed tertiary qualification in copywriting, writing, or brand building.
