Junior Copywriter

We are looking for a creative and driven junior copywriter to join our team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, can adapt to various target markets and platforms, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Our ideal candidate:

• Has just finished studying or has worked in an advertising agency for at least one year.
• Able to work across various target markets, platforms, and channels.
• Willing to learn and understand retail brands.
• Keeps a cool head and delivers exceptional results under pressure, against fast and tight deadlines, and in volume.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team and is resourceful, focused, and level-headed.
• Must be Cape Town-based and willing to work both in-office and from home.

Requirements:

• A relevant degree or diploma in copywriting is a bonus.
• Can demonstrate an ability to think and write creatively.
• Zero to one year of relevant work experience as a copywriter in an advertising agency (a college/university or television and radio portfolio is required).
• Solid knowledge and understanding of digital platforms alongside more traditional channels.
• Solid working knowledge and understanding of social content, with experience in the following areas being a plus:
  • SEO and SEM
  • AdWords
  • Analytics
  • Reporting
