About the role
Toxmedia is looking for a highly skilled production resources manager to oversee the operational, technical, and logistical needs of our post-production company. The company services two entertainment channels and production houses, providing comprehensive post-production elements, including editing suites, sound studios, and visual effects departments. The ideal candidate will ensure that all facilities, equipment, and services function efficiently, supporting seamless content delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Facility operations and maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the post-production facility, ensuring all systems (HVAC, electrical, security, etc.) are operational.
- Equipment management: Ensure the smooth functioning and regular maintenance of all post-production equipment, including editing stations, servers, and studio infrastructure.
- Health and safety compliance: Implement and monitor safety procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Vendor and supplier coordination: Manage relationships with external service providers for maintenance, IT support, and procurement.
- Budget and cost management: Prepare and manage facility budgets, optimising costs while maintaining high-quality services.
- Security and access control: Oversee security measures to safeguard valuable assets, digital content, and production materials.
- Space planning and optimisation: Plan and allocate spaces efficiently for different teams (editors, sound engineers, VFX artists) to maximise productivity.
- Crisis management: Develop contingency plans for emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, and security threats.
- Sustainability initiatives: Implement eco-friendly practices to reduce energy consumption and waste in the facility.
Requirements
- Proven experience (five or more years) in facilities management, preferably in post-production, broadcasting, or media environments.
- Strong knowledge of post-production workflows, technical infrastructure, and equipment maintenance.
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory compliance for production environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Additional skills
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking for media environments.
- Knowledge of AV technology, editing software, and storage solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a fast-paced production setting.
