We are seeking a dynamic human capital generalist to join our team for an exciting eight-month contract.

Key responsibilities
  • New engagements: Draft contracts, initiate onboarding processes, conduct inductions, and manage new starter documentation.
  • Staff movements: Handle promotions, salary increases, and team changes; ensure proper record-keeping and SAGE updates.
  • Resignations: Manage resignation letters, notify brokers, and process terminations.
  • End of contracts: Confirm contract extensions or terminations and send updated contracts to staff.
  • Payroll administration: Oversee probation periods and ensure accurate payroll information is captured.
  • Medical aid updates: Track medical aid changes and communicate updates to staff.
  • Maternity/parental leave: Prepare UIF documents and manage relevant payroll entries.
  • Health and safety: Act as the health and safety officer, book training sessions, and handle IOD claims.
  • HR reporting: Conduct exit interviews, submit reports, and prepare for monthly resource meetings.
  • General duties: Assist with wellness days, lead HC graduates, and address SAGE system queries.
Qualifications
  • A degree in human resources management or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in SAGE People.
